Dlicio Featured by Communitech: Building a Better Way for Local Restaurants to Earn More

We were recently featured by Communitech in a spotlight showcasing how Dlicio is transforming the local food scene. The feature dives deep into our mission to help independent restaurants maximize their profits, eliminate predatory marketplace fees, and connect with diners through dynamic visual discovery.

If you are a local diner or a restaurant partner in Waterloo Region, here is what this milestone means for our community and where we are heading next.

Why We Built Dlicio

Traditional food delivery and discovery platforms cut deeply into restaurant margins with high commission fees. We built Dlicio to fix this broken system.

Our core pillars rest on two fundamental shifts:

  • Zero-Commission Model: Restaurants keep 100% of their hard-earned revenue.
  • Visual Food Discovery: Diners scroll through short-form videos to see exactly what they are ordering before buying.

Testing Our MVP and Early Feedback

We are actively testing our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with early users and local restaurant owners right here in the Waterloo Region. The response has been incredibly encouraging.

Diners love skipping the guessing game of text-heavy menus, while owners are thrilled to have a platform that champions their bottom line. We are treating this early feedback as our roadmap, constantly refining the experience to make food discovery feel entirely natural, visual, and social.
